Reflection
Blogging
I am going to be honest, at first I was not too thrilled about having to blog every week. Once we got past the basics, I started like it. To me, blogging was a way of writing about whatever I though about Bird by Bird. It was my thoughts and I got to share them with others. Blogging also taught me many things, especially from reading Bird by Bird and reflecting on it through blogging. It taught me that no writer is perfect and the best way to get your mind off of whatever is going is to let it all out on paper or in this case blogging.
Grammar
I learned a lot about grammar skills I didn’t know but I was also reminded of grammar skills I had forgotten. I realized how important grammar is in order to make a piece of writing the best it can be. Grammar allows writing to flow and add information. Throughout this class, I have definitely found ways that will help me carry these grammar skills throughout the rest of my life.

Paper Writing & Revision Process
It is important to focus on one aspect when writing because then it will be easier to understand and be more informational. There should always be a purpose as to why you are writing whatever you are writing. You need to be passionate and mindful when writing a paper. I have learned that it is very important to have multiple revisions made on a piece of writing to achieve maximum excellence. When having someone revise a paper, it needs to be someone you trust and that you know will be honest with you. Your editor should know how to give you feedback respectfully and in a way that you will be accept it. This person shouldn’t be someone who makes you feel awful and just completely craps on your writing but it also shouldn’t be someone who will tell you nothing is wrong and that it is absolutely perfect. You need a respectful and honest editor who wants you to succeed.
The Class
This class definitely was a good part of my day. Not only because a bunch of my friends were in the class but because I knew I could do whatever I needed to get done that day. Also that I would be learning in a fun way and not the typical lecture and notes. The environment was perfect as well. I always felt calm and knew that whatever I needed help on, I would get my answers. This class helped put my mind at ease and I always looked forward to this class on stressful days because I knew I could relax once I got in there. Writers Workshop not only taught me the skills of writing but it also taught me that anything is possible if I put my mind to it.
